As a full-service IT provider, Connectability is proud to
offer its clients a wide array of hardware and software products.
We choose these products very carefully, with a view to addressing
all of the following points:
The best product in the world is still second-rate,
unless the service and support that comes with it is in the
same class. We select products only from companies that have
a proven track record of building solid, reliable products
and of taking care of customers. For example, some computer
manufacturers don't service the computers they sell - instead
they rely on 3rd party service companies. We prefer to deal
with companies who have their own service organizations. In
our opinion this makes them more responsive to the needs of
their customers.
It's an all-too-common experience to hear
about a great new product and then to find that it's impossible
to actually purchase it because it's in such short supply.
We make every effort to deal only with companies who can provide
us with the products that our customers need, when they're
needed - not just on paper.
Nobody wants to pay for something that they
don't need. Unfortunately, it's not unusual to find manufacturers
who build products with unnecessary or "premium" features
when they're not needed. Once again, we try to select products
which offer the "right" combination of technology and value.
Given that high-technology products change
constantly and that the lifetime of such products is typically
not very long, you want to make sure that the products that
you do buy will give you the maximum "bang-for-the buck".
We make a point of ensuring that everything that we recommend
has a strong upgrade path as well as offering maximum performance
at its price point.
We try to deal only with suppliers who have
established track records in their area. We feel that it is
inappropriate for us or for our customers to be "guinea pigs".
Moreover, established companies typically have the infrastructure
to provide the requisite levels of support, when they are
needed.
It's virtually impossible for any one manufacturer
to produce a set of products which meet the budgets of every
organization. Accordingly, we try to select a range of products
from different manufacturers, at different price points. We
see no point in offering a lot of products with identical
features at identical prices. We'd rather offer enough of
a range to help meet the needs of many different customers.
